Habitat and Spread of Crayfish / Crawfish / Crawdad / Crawdads

 

Crawfish or Crayfish are genus the groups of shrimp (Crustacea) that naturally has a relative large measure and have a life cycle only in freshwater environments,

There are some international names of Crayfish such as, Crawfish, crawdad and crawdads.

Based on distribution in the world there are three families of crayfish are Astacidae, Cambaridae, and Parastacidae.
Crayfish family of Cambaridae, Astacidae spread in north part of the world, and Parastacidae spread in southern part of the world, such as Australia, eastern Indonesia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea.

Based on research and scientific study is known that the natural habitat of Crayfish are lakes, swamps, or rivers on the mountain.

Besides that the important thing to known that the Crayfish are the endemic because there are specification species of Crayfish that found in the certain natural habitat (native).
